How to Beat Chiidoku Infinite Mode

What infinite mode is

The campaign is a 400-rung ladder. Infinite mode throws the ladder away. The studio copy says you keep solving randomly generated puzzles with no level cap while difficulty climbs. Your score is how long you survive, not a star rating on a named stage.

It is still Chiidoku. One token per row, per column, per color region. Adjacent tokens are forbidden. If you need that tattooed on your brain, reread getting started before you queue a streak.

Infinite mode exists for people who finished the teaching boards or who want a harsher practice room. It is a terrible first session. Generated shapes do not care that you learned the UI five minutes ago.

How difficulty actually rises

You will not get a tooltip that says “now using X-wings.” What rises is mean region geometry and fewer free hidden singles at the start of a board. Early infinite boards still drop a forced cell in the first scan. Later boards make you point with rows and columns before anything is forced. That is the same Scan A-D from how to solve, just with less charity.

Treat each new board as if you have never seen a Chiikawa. Do not carry a placement guess from the previous grid. Reset the mental closed-unit list every time the board paints.

Streak habits that work

1. Clear campaign until Scan B is automatic. If you cannot find a forced cell on a numbered level, infinite will eat you.
2. Cash daily missions first. Coins should not be the reason you stay in a tilt streak.
3. Play one board slower than you want. Speed arrives after you stop mis-closing regions.
4. Stop after a stupid heart. A mis-tap is a controls problem. Continuing while angry is how a 12-streak becomes a 0.
5. Do not buy Heart + 1 as a streak crutch. Extra hearts extend bad process. Buy them when a long session is already clean and you want insurance against one mis-click.

When to leave infinite mode

Leave when:

• You placed a token and cannot explain why in one sentence.
• Pastel regions are smearing because you are tired.
• You are using infinite as a substitute for reading the checklist.

Infinite mode will still be there tomorrow. Coins from a focused daily plus three campaign boards beat a tilted 40-minute death spiral. The shop on the characters hub does not care which mode paid, only that coins arrived.

Scoring your own play, honestly

Ignore other people in the server. A 50-player cap does not mean they share your generated board as a race with official ranking. Watch your own streak. If you want a personal best, write it down outside the game. Do not trust memory after a heart loss.

If the studio later adds a global leaderboard, we will document it in patch notes. Until then, infinite mode is a practice generator with a counter.

Infinite mode and scripts

Auto-solve tools would turn infinite mode into a screensaver. That is the point for some people. It is also the fastest way to stop learning and a ToS risk. Sample session

• 10 minutes campaign warm-up, no infinite.
• 5 minutes dailies.
• 15 minutes infinite, one streak, stop at the first unexplained placement.
• 2 minutes shop browsing, no panic buys. Unlocks can wait.

That session is shorter than a doom scroll and it raises the only stat that matters: boards you can explain.

Failure autopsy

When a streak dies, ask which scan you skipped. Almost every autopsy is “I pointed with my mood, not with a closed column.” Write the skipped scan on paper. The next board will try to punish the same skip. Infinite mode is a teacher that repeats the lesson until you pass.
